Hello. I bought my Sienna Limited 4 hours away this week. Probably means I'll be June of next year at the earliest. That said, will I be able to get my fob at a local dealer? Thanks, Chris

Yes, you can make an appointment at any dealer once you get the notification. Your car is probably on the schedule for the second fob in Q2 2024.

As soon as you have the notification in the app or the letter in the mail, an appointment can be made at a dealer to get the second fob programmed.

Just checked the Toyota app. There is a "Service Campaign" for the 2nd fob. Call your dealer and set up an appointment. They still need to order the fob and that's about 2 weeks out. We're supposed to pick ours up 11/2/2023!! We picked up our new Sienna ELEVEN MONTH ago!!!

I just received my second key fob! I took my van in for some unrelated warranty work, they informed me about the Service Campaign (which I already knew about), but still had to order the second key. I picked up the van a day later, and voila: a second key, programmed and ready to go.

Too bad it took them 11 months...

This has been the biggest disappointment (even more so than the app and its ready to connect notification) in my first Toyota buying experience. My wife and I both drive the van regularly although it is her daily driver and it is really annoying to have to get the key out of her purse if she is not going with or wait for her to unlock/lock it. It is pathetic that Toyota got themselves into this position. Overall, we love the van and its mileage, but this is really frustrating.

Check out post #2 after checking your build date. That chart will give you a good idea of when the key will be available. The furthest out scheduled availability is Q2 2024.

I just bought my Gen 4 about 3 days ago. I was only issued one key fob. They told me that's the only key fob they had for it. I really don't want to spin $300 to $400 if I don't have to. Does anyone know if any of the auto parts stores (O'Reilly's, AutoZone, Napa...etc...) carry (and possibly program) key fobs?

No aftermarket fobs are available. And an OEM fob I bought from a reputable online source could not be programmed. It's been 11 1/2 months since purchase, and I still have heard nothing from Toyota. The post #2 chart shows that I was due to receive one last August. My wife wants a new Toyota, but I'm discouraging it. (We've owned over 20 Toyotas, but I no longer trust them.) Good luck.

You will get your second fob as soon as it’s available based on purchase date and according to the chart. There are 3 pages of thread here where this has been repeatedly covered
This is the assurance I have received from the dealership from which I purchased my new Sienna. I don't think they are snowing me. They mean it.

If you are lucky, the used van you bought did not have the second key issued. It would have had to have a build date of October 2022 or later which is borderline for a 22. You could check with a Toyota dealer to see if it has a second key due to be issued.

Still no campaign notice for me. Headquarter told me I will get notified in mid October (still nothing) to Mid November. Bum Bum. :poop:

I got mine last week. Have you checked your app? I got a notification on the app and called my dealer. The ordered a key and got it in a few days.
