Has anyone added a spare tire to a van not equipped with one? Just looking at the parts diagram, it seems like it's gonna be more the the $75 it was as an option.

Hello all! This morning I went to pick up my 25AE mats which were missing upon delivery. I went to the parts counter to inquire about ordering the spare tire carrier kit. I almost fainted with the price they gave me at the counter.

As you can see, there's no way I'm paying $2425.90 CAD for it and that doesn't even include the spare tire itself! 🤯
I went on this website 51900-08050-C3 Genuine Toyota Carrier Assembly, Spare and it says they ship international. So I might go this route or wait til I visit the States to pick up then which should be around 4th of July.
What prices are you in Canada paying at your local dealership?

Yes that's exactly what I plan to do. Just have to make sure that they ship to Canada.
Actually paid 62K and change all in. I just added the OEM camera, TAG and body side protector thingy which amounted to 1,300 CAD paid separately.
Remember all these prices are in canadian. The 25AE package amounts to around 57K before taxes and all fees. But it comes here standard with heated steering wheel and dynamic guidelines for backup camera and TV Monitor delete unfortunately.

I am picking up a 23 LE AWD 8 passenger this week that is coming in. I snagged one that was being built just how we wanted, at msrp so I took the opportunity .
Unfortunately, no spare. I am not sure if it is because I have 8 passenger and that is where the extra seat goes.
How long did this take you? I am looking into this now to see if its doable on mine, with toyotapartsdeal.com
The modern spare tire seems like a good alternative, but if this is only marginally more, then it seems worth it.

Has anyone been able to do this with a 2020 Sienna? The kit does not fit in that year.
