Auto dimming mirror

I have a 2023 XLE AWD. Im considering selling it to my son, who insists on automatic dimming mirror. Im not sure these are available in 2023's, but saw they come with older Siennas. There a new tech rear view mirror, apparantly available in the Platinum or XSE trims, but it appears like there was a shortage of these high tech mirrors, and, apparently Toyota is not including them, "even if" you buy the expensive package which is supposed to contain same.

So, Im looking on someone who has the auto dimming mirror, and if it can be put on the Sienna/and or, if this can be installed by the dealer. Advice is appreciated.

According to the specs, the 2023 XLE should have the auto-dimming mirror. My 2021 XLE does. Does the mirror have a green LED at the bottom toward the left side? If not, look at the buttons on the bottom of the mirror. The rightmost button is an on/off (1/0) button. Try pressing that to see if the green light comes on. The green light must be on for the auto-dimming function to operate.

The digital rearview mirror (LTD, PLT) is the one in short supply, it gives you the option of having a rear camera image projected onto the mirror using a built-in LCD display. No obstructed view using the rear entertainment system or when carrying big-headed passengers.

Don’t waste your money. I have them in two different Toyotas and they still glare at unacceptable levels. Had them checked by Toyota and they said they are working normally. I would check out a good after market unit.

I am so glad this subject was brought up. I have a 2013 LE AWD with the auto-dimming feature. The car was purchased pre-own and the auto-dimming is on by default. I tried to turn it off by pressing the switch button but it never work. Anybody has experience with toggling this feature out there? Thank you very much.
