I hit a deer recently that caused damage to the passenger side front where now I have to get new headlights. I've got an '08 Sienna Limited.
I'm paying out of pocket to get my Sienna back on the road since my insurance won't cover hitting a deer. Typical of them.
This vehicle came with HID headlights but I'm having trouble finding a good set of HID to replace them both with. I keep searching eBay and other sites but they keep showing me regular headlights, not HID ones.
Theyall keep saying they fit my '08 Sienna but not the Limited series, only CE, LE, and I think XLE too. The first thing I do is look at the pictures of the back of the headlight assembly to see if it has that unique ballast that only HID ones have but they don't have it so I move on to the next one. It's getting exhausting so I need help.
Do I actually have to get HID or can I go with a basic standard type of headlight? What can I get away with to put in my Sienna?
There is inside the cab just to the left of the steering column an adjustment knob that I believe raises and lowers the height of the headlight beams but it doesn't do much good so I don't see the need to go HID just for that adjustment feature.
I've already got the replacement hood and other parts from a junk yard so the headlights are the only issue I've got left to deal with. I actually got one passenger side headlight from an '08 LE but it doesn't have the same connections in the back for the main headlight so I can't use it unless I can figure out how to rewire it.
Here's a pic of my Sienna in its current state with the bumper and everything removed.
Thanks a bunch!
Lee
