Should be the same as other Toyota dome lights. Have you checked youtube?

 

yes, they redesigned the map light in 2021 sienna.

 

I did LED's on my 2004 a couple years ago, made it look like a new interior

 

Waiting on this too. I haven't seen any kits out for 2021's. I just did it for my 2020 Tacoma and it's night and day. Lemme know if you find any.

 

Any update on this? Anyone have luck finding a kit or a video on this?

You can if you’re comfortable soldering electronics and don’t mind risking warranty (to be clear though, that ain’t me)

 

I replaced all of mine except for the map lights as those do not appear to be replaceable.

 

I got everything done to my 2022 XSE. I changed all the light bulbs except the sun visor light.
I also included the links if anyone are interested. they are good quality and not overpriced

I changed everything except the MAP lights and reverse lights. How did you guys replace the reverse lights? I could not find an easy way to turn them to the left to open them.

Also, no option to change MAP lights at all on 2021/2022 Sienna (on our own)? Those are the most terrible lights, especially in the front row.

Guys, in that topic quite a few people are saying that some LEDs causing issues with the key fob. The distance from which the vehicle can see the key fob reduces quite a bit. Be aware, I guess.

It's necessary to figure out which LEDs are good.

 

I’ll take a reduced key fob range. The LED lights are 3x to 4x brighter. Probably one of the best bang for the buck upgrades. I think I paid $20.

I don’t notice reduction in distance, but do notice the sensor in the door handle seems less sensitive. Used SiriusLED

 

When the interior lights are on, both the door sensor as well as the push start button would become less sensitive for me... but unless if I'm being chased by thousand zombies then I am ok.

 

I don't feel any different after . I will test it out with the lights on and off when I have time.

I don't see a problem with using the key fob to open the door because when you use the key fob. all the interior lights are off, it only comes on when the door is open.

I do see there will be a problem locking or opening the door if the LED causes any interference. or am I missing something?

 

The MAP light is factory LED built-in, almost not possible to change unless you modify the circuit board. You can try to use a small plier to turn the reverse light socket . it took me 30min to get both sides out.

 

Thank you! I was able to pullout the reverse lights, once I removed the power connection to those; was not as tough as I was trying earlier.

It is crazy though; only lights that are left out on the car are the MAP lights and those are the primarily used lights by the driver. Terrible that we have no option to change those. Sucks! Need to live with them.

I found out Toyota started to use replaceable LED bulbs design for the lamp (forgot which one, I think the brake or the front signal) which means you can change the "bulbs" if the LED burned out instead of replacing the whole lamps for hundreds of dollars. but they didn't do that for the headlamp , wish they would design it that way for the headlamps.

one more thing , there is a recall for many of the toyota hybrid models related to the vehicle Stability Control system (VSC). if you turn it OFF, then restart the car the next time. it will not turn ON automatically.

For the replacement LED bulbs, I actually ordered them ahead of time from Amazon (links below), before reading your post and they were good. I was trying to figure out how to change the MAP lights and that is when my search brought me into this forum.

you need to find out the spec of the LED chips they are using for the map light. find out the voltage and amperage of the chips and change it with similar LEDs in different colors .

 

Just curiosity, why do you want the interior lights to be so bright? They would only be needed during entry/exit and I feel that the factory lights are usually adequate. I don't have a Sienna but are the standard interior lights that bad in this vehicle?

 

I am ok with the factory map light. I do need a lot brighter LED on the 2nd row and trunk. it helps a lot at night when you can see better.

 

FWIW, the other thread on LED replacements had some caveats for putting LED ones in the trunk. It could possibly affect remote key fob.

 

it depends on the LED bulbs. the one I am using is ok. a lot of cheaper made LED bulb will cost interference problems
