[Quick intro: was a member of siennaclub.org way back when my Sienna was new (2003). Haven't posted in several years. Thanks to all for starting a new forum for Siennas!]
I have a recurring problem with critters trying to make a home in my cabin air filter.
I just discovered I can make my own cabin air filters (thanks Siennachat), so at least won't need to blow $20/filter.
But I was hoping someone might have some ideas on how to prevent them from getting into the cabin filter in the first place. Although the car is garaged at night, we live in rural Oregon. And the car is parked outside during the day at work, which is also in a very rural area and near a forest. So, hard to park away from the great outdoors.
Generally, I can trap the mice once I find out they're living in the car, but was hoping someone might have an idea on how to screen off the air intake for the cabin air filter.
I vaguely remember that wintergreen is supposed to keep them away, but am not sure I want to perfume the car. But am willing to try anything.
Thanks for any suggestions.
