My may build for a Platinum MSRP just went up $750. The online build configurator is still the old MSRP. Maybe it will change May 1st.
You mean you placed a deposit and it went up by $750?

If so, I think that’s the 2024 MSRP price, and the online configurator is giving you 2023 MSRP.

Meh, it's worth, whatever it's worth to you. Will it make you guys happy? Then buy the damn thing and ignore all the drama. Take it from someone who nearly got taken out at 40...life is too short to worry about a few pennies here and there; if it makes the time you have right now that much more enjoyable then do it. Besides, 3k isn't even half of what it cost to put my family on a 7 day cruise lol. Some people have to live tight, some don't... you do you man.

EDIT - By the way, it it helps. The guy who was doing the allocation spreadsheet that would scrape all the toyota data and put it into one nice viewable form has his spreadsheet back online and working again. I'm not going to link straight to the google doc since I don't have his permission to do so but here's a link to his post on reddit for it. This thing was great back in the day for seeing who was getting what and an idea of prices/markups. Sienna Allocations
The allocations is a gold medal award! I was about to throw in the towel on the Sienna and just get a Highlander. I am going to start emailing dealerships with the exact spec coming in unsold and hopefully will land a van much more quickly then waiting 6 months!

All this in the name of saving weight and higher mileage? Maybe a good thing. Maybe not. I don't understand why they did not give it the 3.0 hybrid engine that comes in the current Highlander especially the Sienna is a heavier vehicle and will haul more people. Correct me if I am wrong.
2023 highlander hybrid also has the same 2.5 engine as Sienna and Rav4.

Really? I thought I read it somewhere some time ago that the Highlander has a bigger engine and salivating over it when I was considering between the Sienna and the Highlander? I know they have a newer Safety Sense version than the Sienna.

So the Sienna is a much slower car than the RAV4 considering the physical size between them. That kind of sucks? Anyways, I am happy I got one of the 25AE in two months time since the poster above passat774 said getting an allocation is like winning a Gold Medal Award. I thought the car market is slowing down and that's why I get one at MSRP and so "fast" compared to some others here. FYI, the dealership I got it from no longer list any 25AE anymore after I picked up mine. Most in this forum seems to be reporting on the 25AE. I wonder if there are more than 2525 as Toyota claims. Wish they would number the units individually so that we know which number we are in line of the 2525 units.

I saw an official Toyota sheet that showed all Toyota's went up in MSRP for 2023 model years for all models made May 1st forward...how do I know this? My Sienna was completed on May 1st and therefore, the MSRP is $750 more than it was the day before it was made. Now apparently there is a rail car shortage and we may not see it until June. Double kick to the crotch.

There is no more direct connection between the 2.5 ice engine and the ground. Forget all conventional thinking that the ice size determines how fast your car can go. MG2 is the only part of the hybrid system that can make your vehicle move forward w/o requiring any torque from any other part (Fwd versions). in AWD versions - it is both the MG2 and the MGR. it is power/torque of the MG2/MGR which primarily determines overall performance. Where does ICE come in ? It charges the battery and it provides partial torque whose output is determined/limited by MG1 thru the power split device (aka planetary gear). Perhaps this video might explain this better (Start at 2:50).

Currently own the 2021 XLE AWD trim, love a lot of things about it, was a massive upgrade from our 2012 Routan. The Sienna is not quite as refined as the Oddy but the MPG's and the AWD capability that is a necessity for us makes up for that.
So I'm here because I've want to upgrade; to the 25th AE edition, as it has a few features that are missing for us. However, I really want to get a chance to test drive the XSE Trim on 18's (AWD) to determine if we are giving up too much in comfort?
One of my cars is a modified 90's miata, there is a place for everything! :)
I'm having a heck of a time pinpointing a used one at a dealer lot so I can test drive, would anyone be willing to take me for a spin? (if someone is willing in and around Silicon Valley area would be amazing and much appreciated!) A 6-pack or bottle of wine you name it!

Bought this week:

2023 Sienna XLE Woodland edition
base MSRP: $46,945
options: $1,490 (rear entertainment and spare tire)
delivery: $1,335
total MSRP: $49,770
+ $2,000 markup
- $750 Uber incentive

$51,020 + TTL

First time we've ever 'overpaid' for a vehicle. BUT we only inquired about this in late Feb, and it seems we just missed the May price increase - that softens the blow. Plus these are so hard to come by, we ended up buying one now instead of waiting. I also made over $2k selling a Ford Maverick I just got (ordered last Sep) since we wouldn't be keeping both vehicles. Sad to see the Mav go, but happy to make a quick buck to offset to Woodland markup.

Thanks for the info. I am totally new to Hybrids and still figuring out the van after almost 3 weeks.

We recently bought a 2023 25AE AWD in Wind Chill Pearl on 4/29/2023. Originally, we planned to get a black or white XSE AWD and put our deposit at Longo Toyota on 3/7/2022 since they sell at MSRP. When we put the deposit, they said 6-8 months. The year went by and it was not looking like we'd get one any time soon. The wifey got impatient and started calling the other local dealers to us (Southern California) in January/February. Various dealers had XSE FWD, 25AE FWD or Limited AWD, but I insisted on XSE since if I'm driving a minivan, I wanted it to look a little better. She wanted the AWD for safety, so we waited and called more dealers.

Finally, one dealer in Van Nuys had a 25AE AWD in allocation and no one had claimed it. The wifey didn't want to let this pass us by so we said we'd buy it. At first, it had an $8,000 mark up and we said it was out of our budget. The saleswoman came back a few days later and said she could do a $5,000 mark up. We reluctantly agreed. I really, really didn't want to pay over MSRP, but every dealer we spoke with had a mark up or add on except for Longo and Toyota of Anaheim (so they say). The mark ups and add on were as low as $1,500 to $2,000 and has high as $9,995 for the AWD models.

We weren't really sure until we pick up the sienna that we would get it. The saleswoman told us the sienna had arrived at night on Thursday and we went to the dealership on Saturday afternoon.

  • The base MSRP was $48,180 and with factory add ons the MSRP was $50,287 (the biggest was the Rear Seat Entertainment System which we didn't want was $1,415).
  • Delivery, Processing, and Handling Fee was $1,335.
  • The total was $51,622 before the $5,000 mark up (which is really a $5,475 mark up after 9.5% taxes).

The van is very nice (we never got to test drive one before testing the one we bought). The ride in the XSE on 18" wheels is smooth and the not harsh at all. I tinted the windows and waiting to swap the wheels.

So far, we still haven't heard back from Longo that our XSE is available. We left our deposit just to see how long it may take before we are called.

Cheers!

Nice, but not having to pay over MSRP part. Wish they had a AWD for me. Does yours come with a spare? If so, does it not come with ottomans on the second row?

Hey neighbor, Called all the dealerships in June/July 2022, including Longo. They didn’t even take any more on their waiting list.

I drove 3 hrs out to Hemet to make a deposit and pick up mine. Mine is on the left, found another 25AE AWD WcP parked on my block, I don’t know them, someone visiting hospital across the street. Photo op.

We have the ottomans in the 2nd row, which was one feature that almost convinced my wife to get the limited, and no spare tire from what I can see.

Hello there! Very cool! and kind of an exclusive club within the club. We are in the Walnut/Diamond Bar area. U? At the Hemet dealership, did they sell at MSRP?

I saw this 25AE AWD near Disneyland on Monday (5/22/23)

Congrats on everyone's new ride.
I also waitlist for AWD but end up with FWD 25AE from Longo last month, because didnt want to wait longer.... beautiful van, really like it and enjoy the ride , still getting use to hybrid driving style to maximize MPG lol.. basically I am trying to use battery power as much as possible and "pulse and glide" when gas engine kick in.. average MPG so far is 36.6 for the first 1000 miles, just change oil after the first "break-in" 1000 miles and then will change at 5000 interval, use toyota OEM 0-16 Syntetic and OEM filter

@bruintennis

I’m seeing them all over now, not so unique.

I’m in MPk. 6k over.
Have not seen one yet in my area except mine. Maybe I have not looked closer.

I was told that in the AWD, ottoman will be deleted if Spare is present.

Congrats! When did you put your deposit down? I'm sure you paid MSRP, right?
