I like the American racing ar900 20x8.5 with 42mm , wondering would these sit pretty flush to the outside ,I like the look just barely inside the fender , would I need spacers for this off set , I don't think they offer any other offset in this wheel size

These will be very sunken in without spacers. A 20x8.5 20 offset is damn near flush up front and sinks in just a tad in the back. Most main stream rim suppliers always make the offsets in between the -35-40 range so most of the time you have to run spacers. We just put on an 18x8-35 winter tire set up and i hate the way the SE looks now because the rims are so sunken in, I have no choice because they gravel our roads in the winter and the last thing i need is rocks spraying on the sides

I should clarify, depending on your definition of "barely sunken in" you may have to run an adapter instead of spacer. +42 is offset is pretty nasty and will require quite a bit to push out. Are you stuck on that rim? adapters are not 100% proven to be reliable so to put something risky on a family hauler is kinda silly. If you do go that route check out H&R and find something HUBCENTRIC and buy a REPUTABLE brand.

Thanks , it's not a family hauler , just my work van , just want it to look good because I will have company logo , i guess this look flush to the outside , so there is no real lip to run the rim to the outside , I will want to run the same size wheel and tire front and rear ,, just to be able to rotate
