Get the OEM ones. The mirror covers stated in the link are OEM mirror covers found in post #1. What is the color of your sienna? Here's the link. http://www.siennachat.com/forum/69-mods-projects/9709-led-turn-signal-mirror-upgrade.html
Did anyone here get the painted mirror covers from MIT? I noticed that there's a combo package on ebay where they will paint the covers for you for an extra $20, which seems like a bargain compared to the OEM mirror covers, but I'm not sure about the quality of the paint.
I had 2 sets of mirror covers from MIT for my 2 priuses. Painting was good but with some minor imperfections like a paint drip issue were a small area has a thicker paint than others but not noticeable until you really look at it.

I have 040, Super White. I tried ordering part numbers:
87915-08030-A0(white 040)
87945-08030-A0
as listed in the previous post.

Here are the various things I've tried:
Online order with Elmore TRD Toyota Parts, they responded that, "Unfortunately, these mirror covers aren't showing valid for a U.S. use vehicle" and that they were not available for order in the US.
Online order with Santa Margarita Toyota, their response was, "You might be able to find it on ebay, it's not something Toyota will sell to me."
A phone call to Olathe Toyota and they responded that this was not USDM part number and as such, Toyota's distribution network will not ship it to the US.
Because there was some discussion that the part numbers for super/alpine white were Canadian, I then tried placing a parts inquiry to a Vancouver Toyota dealership in Burnaby and they gave me this:
"87915-08030-A0 $73.12
87945-08030-A0 $73.12
THESE PARTS ARE UNAVAILABLE IN CANADA. IF I ORDERED THEM THEY WOULD BE COMING FROM JAPAN. 3-4 WEEKS."

So yeah, I've tried ordering OEM ones. Maybe the blackout on shipment to the US is a new thing, or did people here order from someplace special?
The other option for the mirror covers is to buy the ones for the limited US model and have it repainted. I'll cost you more though.

The mirror covers and turn signals on the 2015 super white Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport that I park near everyday sure look identical in design and dimensions to the ones on my 2014 Sienna Limited.

Here's the picture of the mirror housing inside. Notice that there is a shield like formation on the top and the sides of the back of the mirror glass. This covers the motor plate mount when the 2 are reinstalled or snapped together. Look at the lower 2 tabs at the back of the mirror glass. These hooks to the bottom of the motor mount plate. So inserting a screw driver through the bottom and prying it from there will break the lower 2 tabs. Now look carefully at the top 2 tabs at the back of the mirror glass - the horse shoe shaped tabs but flares outside. This inserts to the 2 square holes on the top ends of the motor plate mount. These tabs are the ones the hold the mirror glass to the motor plate mount when it snaps back. Hopefully this clears things out. This is my 5th time to pull out the mirror glass from the motor plate mount with no problems or breaking of the tabs doing the same method.

Same as what was posted in post #13 instruction #4 Figure 3.
thanks for the pic. It does make it clearer for me. What are the two red connectors?

The tacoma mirror covers are interchangeable with the 4runner's but not the sienna's. The tacoma/4runner mirror cover tabs don't align with the sienna's mirror housing.

After resigning myself to the fact that OEM mirror covers in Super White are no longer available, I decided to get this project going with OEM black ones instead, which sort of look like the Sienna L trim, except shiny. With the SE's black headlights and my unpainted black lip and mud guards, the mirrors actually fit in with the rest of my black and white "theme."

With the help of the two walkthroughs on this site, the whole job only took about three hours -- the majority of which time was spent fishing wire through grommets and the dash! I used the MIT turn signals, which are super bright at night time. I didn't hook up the white lights.

The contrast looks good. Maybe plastdip a part of the hood and the front to extend the Black/White theme.

As to fishing the wires through the grommet, there is a trick and it will take you 10 minutes/side, max.

On either side, unplug the wire harness from the connectors that goes through the grommet. You can feel the wire and find the connectors.
Once that's done, push the harness towards the door and remove the grommet from the housing, both on the body and the door.
Grab the grommet, move it as vertical as you can and slip a fish from bottom to top (bottom - door side, top - body side).
Tie the wires fish them across and then move them to the door or where-ever you need to

I was thinking the same thing with black. I looked at the MIT on ebay and the painted covers, look like tape on to an OEM mirror. I was thinking of doing these painted from MIT, but after seeing the tape on...I'm second guessing it.

You are not necessarily limited to black if Sienna Limited mirror covers are not available in a color that matches your Sienna. Maybe the ones in silver or mica would look good.

I put silver Scion IQ mirror covers with turn signals on my wife's Blizzard Pearl (metallic white) Prius v and the color combination is quite nice.

I ordered the "4 in 1" versions that they released recently. The fitment is piss poor to say the least. There is no physical way that the LED signal will mount onto the mirror with the OEM or OEM style cover.

I had TopSage paint the inner and outer covers 040 but wanted to only use the inner covers. Those didn't fit too well on my test fitment.

I ended up having them send me the "2 in 1" lamp that @graure has and hoping for the best.

Wow, that's not even close to right. Fortunately, the 2 in 1s fitment is quite good, and they're brighter than the OEM ones on my neighbor's Limited.

The fit is not close at all. Sinister2c, I would suggest just you get the OEM covers and repaint it with supper white. It won't cost that much to paint it and you will not worry about the fitment. I love the newer LED signal mirrors because they put the LED's facing to the rear directly compared to the older version which is located more on the inside and angled to the side.

I know now...spent the weekend messing with the covers and dremel...still wont fit. The inner TopSage covers are about 1mm too long so they don't snap in correctly. If i have the outside right, the inside isn't tight. If I snap the inside, then the outside has the gap even without the light. If you end up using the stickon outer wraparound covers, the gaps are a non-issue.

I also did a lot of trimming and dremeling of the newer 4 in 1 light and may have gotten it to fit right but won't know unless I get an OEM cover.

I also used the parking light wiring already in the doors. They are for the window switch illumination...on the 2015+. Not sure about pre-2015 models.

Also you can ground in to any of the white/black wires in the door, this way you limit the number of wires to fish thru.

Curious if anyone has installed OEM side mirror LED lights. I installed the MIT lights for convenience (not of advice to anyone using them: the cables attached to the two LED lights are different length: one is for the left side (shorter) and one is for the right side (longer), don't make that mistake like me!), but I don't love them and never liked how the fit was not perfect. The mirror cover doesn't fit perfectly like the original cover (without LED cutout) but it's not too bad. Still, I would be interested in putting in the LED lights from the Limited if someone has done it before and figured out the wiring connections.

You will still end up making your own wiring for it even if you use the OEM LED lights for it. The socket and the number of wires do not correspond in the LE, XLE and SE with the LTD models. Mine fit perfectly with the OEM covers paired with the MIT LED lights. You need to do a little trimming on the MIT LED lights to make it fit perfectly.

That's what I did with the MIT led turn signals. I got the Limited mirror covers and installed the lights in those. Unfortunately, the MIT lights are not a perfect fit and require a bit of dremeling to make it fit properly. Not too bad but it would have been nice if the fitment was more precise.

True, just curious what the wiring would be so that I can see if I want to ever try it. Although, I find the MIT lights to be "good enough" and unless it's a really easy switch with minimal wiring work needed, I probably won't bother. I do like the Limited lights better though, and assume that they will be brighter (in the day as they are plenty bright even when just cloudy outside) than the MIT ones I have, although that may not even be true, in which case I would definitely not switch them.

I'm pretty happy once I got everything wired up. I got the ones with puddle lights, parking lights, and sequential signals. The puddle lights are very useful in the dark. The parking lights are brighter than I expected at night.

Wiring depends on your level of expertise, I'm a long time modder so stuff like wiring, soldering, and stuff are easy. I like to keep my installs OEM looking with loom, solder/shrink wrap, and 3M electrical tape. Some people are fine with butt connectors and T-taps, which will work fine.

The parking light power is found in the doors at the switches like I details a couple posts back.
I originally only ran the negative dome trigger and used 12V constant from windows but that proved bad because the doom like system has a leakage current when the system goes into "sleep" mode after 15 mins. What this does was provide a potential difference at the ground wire (5V) in order to turn off all dome lights that may have been left on. For my case, the the 12V constant and 5V on the ground created a 7V difference that left the puddle lights (2/4 LEDs) on after 15 minutes. I had to rewire this to the dome light 12V after figuring this out.

The turn signal wiring, I used the MIT instructions but its in the harness in the photo below. I think its thicker brown and yellow wires, you can check against the wire going into the headlight signals, same color.

The Dome light wiring can be found in the passenger kick panel, there is a light green (ground) and red wire (12V).

I ended up running the wires across the front floor under the carpet and behind the center area under the radio. There is plenty of room and lots of places to tuck and zip tie the wires to get to the driver side. Should only need to run three wires (driver side dome (12V and negative) and right turn signal 12V). You can ground inside the doors.

Nice job Sinister2c. Do you mind posting a picture or video with the parking, puddle lights and turn signal lights on? Would love to look at it. Out of topic. Do you have any idea where to connect the courtesy lights on the door? The reason being the SE's don't have it on the door.
