I don't understand I just bought a 2012 Sienna and it doesn't have the sat. receiver It has a antenna on the roof and in the wind shield and on the fender I asked the dealer and nobody knows S--- is espoused to be standard on XLE or do I have a fluke?
The XLE with navigation/entune package apparently doesn't come with Siriuis/XM and will require significant cost to install them due to parts (+/- labor) cost. It's not a "fluke" but just how they configured them. The premium package does come with Siriuis/XM I believe.

Bought a 2014 Sienna XLE in Jan 2015. Was told the car was "XM ready". Ended up buying the XM Tuner Base Kit, and the XM Fit Kit. I downloaded the instructions from this site to get an idea what the dealer would have to do to install it. I was shocked!!! I've owned Toyotas forever and have always had good luck with dealer maintenance and repair, but that has always involved the engine, trans, AC, etc..... You know: the mechanical stuff. I'm a little worried about asking them to do this disassembly, installation, reassembly of the body, seats, dash, carpet, door jam, rear hatch etc and tie this thing into a already complex electronic radio, bluetooth, navigation, system. Has anyone out there had this done? Did they get your Sienna back together again satisfactorily? Does your radio, bluetooth connections, and nav systems all work OK? And the Big Question: What does the INSTALLATION cost after already paying a bunch for the parts?

Disassembling a vehicle interior is not all that difficult and Toyota and Lexus have to be among the easiest - the interiors seem to all be held together using similar clips, screws, bolts, etc. Your Toyota dealer has probably done an XM install before so I would not worry much. You might even be able to buy a less expensive aftermarket XM installation kit and have a non-Toyota installer do the work. A standard XM tuner that integrates with most XM-ready head units ran about $50 the last time I checked.

It's too bad we can't rip out the XM components that came standard in our Prius and Sienna and sell/give them to somebody who would appreciate them. We've never found much programming on XM we like and sound quality in every vehicle we have had it in has been poor. But I could see XM being valuable for people living in remote areas without many radio stations or phone service good enough to stream audio from the Internet.

Hmmm. Our 2013 XLE base package had XM radio for 90 days. Don't know why you have to install one.
You are correct that the 2013 and 2014 XLE base radio includes a 90 day trial of SiriusXM .... but ...

according to both the 2013 and 2014 U.S. market Sienna brochures:

"XLE Navigation Package with Entune® App Suite10" has "SiriusXM Radio5 capability (additional hardware and subscription required)"

"XLE Premium Package" has "SiriusXM Radio with NavTraffic™5 with 90-day trial"

So ... it looks like RBofBartlett has the optional nav package with Entune.
